QUALITY / CERTIFICATIONS

Always one step ahead

Since April, 2008 Metzger Translations holds the European Translation Quality Standard in force, currently ISO 17100, and was one of the first Spanish companies to obtain the certification, which guarantees a quality service according to the needs of our clients.

However, Metzger Translations’ production and quality control processes go even further, including many aspects that complement and enhance the content of the European standards.

ISO 17100

In May 2015, the European Committee for Standardisation (CEN) approved ISO 17100, replacing the old UNE-EN 15038 in force since 2007, which establishes guidelines to ensure the quality of translation services.

The standard’s most important components are process definition, project management, the obligation to have a second linguist proofreading translations and management of resources involved in the processes (selection, training, approval and continuous evaluation).
